Postponing Events Due to Coronavirus

In these crazy times, we are all doing what we can to help with social distancing, be it reducing how often we run errands to canceling our long-awaited events. Our first priority at Artspace111 is to make sure the needs of our couples and patrons are being met. That being said we wanted to share some helpful tips and steps to take in this uncertain time.

1st. Stay Calm

We recommend that you try to stay calm. We know it's easier said than done but at this time, peace of mind and leaving social media or not watching the news for an hour or two is the best thing we can do for ourselves. We recommend following CDC and WHO guidelines to keep yourselves safe. We are here to help with your events and to make the transition as easy as possible. We are a phone call or email away. Our mantra at Artspace is, "You're doing great! And your hair looks amazing!", and we want all of our couples and patrons to keep that in mind during this difficult time!

2nd. Contact your Venue

Most venues understand how tough and stressful this time is for you. The Artspace111 team has been hard at work helping reschedule, postpone, or arrange small elopements for all impacted couples. Most if not all venues are trying to do the same. If your venue has a coordinator, talk to them and work through the logistics. We always recommend all of our couples have a direct line of communication with our event coordinators. The reason we have in-house coordinating is not for the easy parts, but for the hard moments. They are the master-minds behind what makes an Artspace111 event work.

3rd. Be Flexible

If you are choosing to postpone, we encourage couples to have a few dates in mind and be flexible. All venues are trying very hard to get everyone their desired date, but please keep in mind we work with a lot of couples and are limited on dates. Always remember, no matter what the date is, it will still be perfect! Once you have a date set with your venue, it's time to have direct contact with your vendors.

3rd. Contact All Other Vendors

Contact all other vendors. Make sure they have your new date available, and they are able to change your contract to that date. Most vendors in the industry are open to rearranging dates for couples. We are all in this together and understand how much these crazy times have impacted important events. May I Serve U, our in-house rental company, has made the transition for our couples so incredibly easy. Catering companies, DJs, photographers, etc. know what you are going through.

4th. Contact Your Guests

At the end of the day, you are changing your date for the health and protection of you and those who you love the most, your family and friends. You are helping flatten the curve. That being said, once you had a date in mind contact your guests to let them know of your new date. We recommend making your plans known to your guests, not only the postponing but also the new date, via phone call or a general social media blast. Mail is crazy and unpredictable, and the last thing we want is for your family and friends to make the trek across the country because they never got the letter.

5th. Remember We Are Here For You

Our team is always happy to help and we take this more heart than ever in these times. Please contact us if you have any questions!
