Ways To Personalize Your Wedding Day

Wedding planning is tough, and often our couples feel like their wedding day can start to feel a bit formal and less like them. Over the years we have seen many couples incorporate bits and pieces of their life and what they love together to help their wedding day feel personal. From getting your favorite restaurant to cater to having your furry best friend, we hope that this short series helps prospective couples plan their wedding day. Whether your special day takes place at Artspace111 or not, we hope that these small details help your wedding day feel a bit more like you.

Picking your favorite dessert:

What is a better way to make your wedding feel like you than sharing with your guests your favorite sweet treat? We all love wedding cake, but sometimes some couples aren't crazy about cake. Some couples want to share with their loved ones a favorite treat; from cinnamon buns to donuts and pies, dessert is always one of the most enjoyable parts of the wedding.

But when you decide the wedding cake is your jam, why not make it into something that represents your style as a couple. We have seen everything from cakes in shapes of armadillos (red velvet cake inside, very Steel Magnolias), to Star Trek cakes.

Custom seating charts:

Seating charts can sometimes feel pretty formal, but many couples are making things feel more fun by incorporating things like beautiful signage or making themed seating charts. Some of our couples have used book titles to let their guests know their designated spot or even their favorite tv show. Ash and Kevin went a step further in doubling their seating chart and guest book and placed vinyl disks on each of their guest's tables of their favorite songs that guests signed with well wishes!

Incorporate your favorite furry friend:

We love our furry friends, and know our couples do too! They're part of so much of our lives and it's so hard to not have them be part of such a special day. Many of our couples like to incorporate them during the processional and we have seen dogs be anything from ring bearers to best men. It stands to say, that we are definitely a dog friendly venue!

Incorporate a signature drink:

Do you have a favorite cocktail that you both really love and you always wish you could get your whole family and friends hooked on? Or a cultural drink that is really important to you as a couple? This is the perfect time to do it! We have had couples incorporate each one of their favorite drinks, but also get custom brews from breweries like Cowtown Brewery. But you don't have to just do cocktails, we've had many couples also bring their favorite coffee drinks and even make custom coffee brews for their wedding day like the one from Vaquero Coffee co.
